Annette Funicello was 13 years aged when she was noticed by the studio's head Walt Disney dancing in an amateur production of Swan Lake in Fullerton California. Funicello was not a candidate in The Mickey Mouse Club and joined after the beginning of season one of the show, much to the dislike of her Mickey Mouse Club peers. Disney took the right choice since she swiftly rose to become The Mickey Mouse Club's highest performers, and she even had her personal Adventures in Dairyland storyline. Funicello was forced to record records in order to realize her potential as a teenager. Annette didn't like her voice, but Disney employed Tutti Kamerata who had an impressive career in the recording business. Funicello eventually became used to recording and really liked working with Camerata among the few forty-something arrangers of the time who had the fundamental foundations of rock music. Funicello was the lead in Beach Party, one of five movies about a beach party which were hugely successful. The majority of the time, they were co-starring Frankie Avalon, these films are produced by AIP however the scripts for each movie have been individually accepted and read by Walt Disney to maintain Annette's clean image.
