Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is an American basketball player for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings as the 5th overall selection of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale's parents Yolanda Ogunbowale & Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2 1997 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale as well as Dare Ogunbowale are both 20-years old. She was the eldest child in her family and her parents spoiled her to the max. Gregory's father was part of the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from an active family history. With 73 high-school starts throughout her playing career, she has 1,477 points with 739 rebound. Ogunbowale was a participant in the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships which she took home Gold Medals. She was named to the 7th July roster of 2014 and was also named to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team following her debut year as a collegiate player. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for her large shots in the NCCA Tournament. While still relatively new she has made herself a top basketball player, and she is bound to continue on her path.
